"Delivery still hasn’t arrived"
I waited in all day for my delivery and it still never showed up. It’s really frustrating, especially when you don’t get much reassurance about where it is or whether it’s actually coming. A clearer update would make a big difference.

"Install was a bit of a nightmare"
Booked the installation through DIY it just wasn’t great. The fitter showed up late, left gaps in places, and didn’t really tidy up after himself. I’ve been going back and forth with support for days now and still haven’t had a proper answer about it. That bit really annoyed me more than anything. Wouldn’t bother again, not worth the hassle.

"Click and collect was such a hassle!!"
Click and collect was a bit of a nightmare!! I ended up waiting around 40 minutes, my order still wasn’t ready, and the staff kept sending me from one place to another. Definitely not something I’d bother with again.

"Regret going in at all"
I went in just trying to find a basic item, and somehow got bounced between three different staff members. Nobody really seemed interested in helping, and one of them literally just shrugged. I left without buying anything, and I had that instant regret of even choosing to shop there in the first place. Really disappointing service

"Poor quality and had to chase them up"
I ordered some shelving from diy.com it was a bit of a letdown. As soon as I opened the box, the boards looked cheap, with chips on the corners, and one of the brackets didn’t even line up properly. I get that flat-pack stuff can have the odd mark, but this felt like really poor quality. To make it more annoying, I had to chase them about the issue instead of getting it sorted easily. Not worth the hassle, and I wouldn’t order again.
"I tried calling and emailing about my..."
I tried calling and emailing about my order, it just felt like I was being passed from one person to another. No clear answer, no proper reply. It took days just to get a simple response, which is really frustrating. Customer service was poor, and I wouldn’t use them again.
"Online stock info needs to be clearer"
I checked online and it said the item was in stock, so I drove over to the store on my lunch break to pick it up. When I got there, the staff told me they didn’t have any and that the website is often wrong.
It was frustrating to waste both my time and petrol for nothing. I don’t mind if something isn’t available, but the instructions or stock updates need to be much clearer so people don’t make a trip for no reason

"I was just looking on DIY for some..."
I was just looking on DIY for some basic bits, paint and screws, nothing fancy, and the prices felt higher than I expected. I checked a couple of other places after and they were cheaper, so that kind of put me off straight away.
Then once you add delivery on top, it really doesn’t feel like great value. The site itself is fine and easy enough to use, but yeah, I’m not sure why I’d pay more for the exact same stuff when I can get it elsewhere for less.

"I returned something to B&Q after ordering it..."
I returned something to B&Q after ordering it through diy.com, it turned into way more hassle than it needed to be.
The return itself was accepted, so common sense says the refund should have followed not long after. Instead, nothing seemed to happen, and when I chased it up twice, I was just told to wait a bit longer each time.
Nearly three weeks later, I still hadn’t had my money back. I get that refunds can take a few days, but this felt excessive, and it’s put me off using them online again.

"Kinda clunky website"
I had a hard time finding what I needed. The website feels kinda clunky and wasn’t very easy to navigate.
"I’ve used diy.com quite a few times when..."
I’ve used diy.com quite a few times when I’m sorting bits around the house or garden, and for everyday DIY stuff like paint, tools, fittings, and outdoor bits, it usually does the job. I like being able to browse online first because it saves me wandering around the store guessing what they might have.
That said, I do find the range feels a bit narrow once you need something more specific, like an exact size or a slightly better quality option. A couple of times I’ve spotted something online only to find it wasn’t actually available anywhere nearby, which is frustrating. For me, it’s a decent place for general DIY needs, but not always the best if you’re looking for more choice.
"I ordered shelves and got paint rollers"
I ordered two shelves, and somehow a bunch of paint rollers showed up instead. I contacted support thinking it would be a simple fix, but they just kept telling me to check the invoice, like that somehow explains the wrong items being delivered. How is this okay? I just wanted the shelves I paid for
